Oregon Shakespeare Festival


On July 18, The Elizabethan Theatre in Ashland performed "Much Ado About Nothing." The play lasted for about three hours. The actors/actresses all fit their parts well. The cast is as following:

Beatrice: Elizabeth Norment
Ursula: Catherine E. Coulson
Margaret: Deidrie Henry
Maria: Bridgette Loriaux
Vittorio: Anthony James
Federico: Daniel Flick
Don Pedro: Ned Schmidtke
Don John: Michael Murphey
Claudio: Leith Burke
Balthasar: Charlie Kimball
Conrade: John Stadelman
Borachio: Dan Donohue
Dogberry: Sandy McCallum
Verges: Richard Farrell
George Seacole: Charlie Bachmann
Walter Worthy: J.P. Phillips
Hugh Oakcake: Carolyn Hitt
The Sexton: Charlie Kimball
Friar Fancis: David Kelly

The only thing that was cut out of the play wasAct I Scene II. Other than that, everything was the same besides some minor word changes.

Over all, the play was an excellent learning experience for all Upward Bound Participants.
